NNPN WEBSITE RESOURCES
CREATE A JOURNAL CLUB
This section features articles on how to start a journal club, forms to use when critiquing articles, examples of different types of article critiques, and an opportunity to share journal club experiences with nurses in our member sites. Member sites may suggest articles for critique.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT MEASUREMENT INSTRUMENTS
The purpose of this section of our website is to provide our members with summaries of an array of instruments for measuring core healthcare delivery context variables. We provide instrument description, psychometric data, and references. The organizational context consists of core elements that include culture and climate, interactive human relationships, and the measurement and evaluation processes specific to the organization. While there is no general consensus on which set of core elements are key to promoting EBP, we may be adding various instruments to measure those core elements that are suggested in the literature to influence the rate and sustainability of EBP.
Member sites nominate a nurse from their organization to be featured on the NNPN website and in the newsletter. This is an opportunity to showcase individual successes and contributions to EBP that impact organizations.
FEATURED EBP PROJECT
Member sites can submit an EBP project for consideration to be featured on the NNPN website and in the newsletter. This is an excellent way to see what other sites are doing and obtain new ideas and information for implementing change in your organization. This opportunity allows exceptional performance in EBP from your organization to be recognized throughout the NNPN community.
STAFF NURSE SECTION
This section is made specifically for our NNPN staff nurses. It is designed for ease of use with pertinent information all in one spot for quick access. It includes the following menus: Eye on Evidence, Staff Nurse Welcome Packet, and Resources.
Members may view podcasts on EBP including: What is EBP and What is it Not, Searching for the Evidence, Models of EBP and Translation Science, Leading Journal Clubs, and many more. These podcasts are designed to assist others in learning about EBP.
NON-WEBSITE RESOURCES & OPPORTUNITIES
