NNPN Organizational & System Toolkit
Funded in part by AHRQ and developed by NNPN nurse leaders, this comprehensive two binder toolkit is bursting with essential information, resources, and documents to walk any organization through the process of building an evidence-based practice (EBP) culture. As the national healthcare environment continues to place expectations on organizations to fully integrate EBP, the focus of the toolkit is on organizational infrastructure development to promote use of EBPs within healthcare settings. Users of the organizational implementation toolkit include nurse leaders, nurse managers, chief nursing officers, and other leaders in healthcare settings responsible for provision of high quality, safe patient care. The toolkit is not meant to guide practitioners in implementing a specific evidence-based change in practice (e.g. promoting family visiting in the critical care setting); rather it is designed for leaders who are responsible for building a practice culture that promotes clinical inquiry and application of evidence across settings and levels of care.

NNPN Implementation Toolkit
This toolkit is designed to provide guidance for individual healthcare leaders in promoting adoption of EBPs at the unit level. The toolkit includes information on developing, implementing, and evaluating EBPs, along with form templates and examples for activities such as selection of a topic, search strategies, research critique process implementation, evaluation, etc. An electronic version of the forms is included in the toolkit to facilitate adoption by users.
