EBP Policies & Procedures

In order to demonstrate the support of nursing administration and promote an EBP culture, it is essential that all nursing policies and procedures are evidence-based. The evidence base should be included on the policy itself. These samples provide examples of how to accomplish this. Additional readings are also provided.

Evidence-Based Practice Policy & Procedure Day

January 22, 2008: The Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Committee facilitated two "Policy & Procedure" days at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. The purpose of the days were two-fold: to introduce the evidence-based practice process using the Iowa Model and revise nursing policies to reflect current evidence.
