Staff Nurses
Staff Nurses
Welcome to the National Nursing Practice Network (NNPN) staff nurse home page. This page is built and maintained by staff nurses, for staff nurses. It is an interactive learning environment rich with content to promote implementation of evidence-based research into practice. Staff nurses are on the front-line of patient care and the last check before any intervention is given. Nursing care, whether at the bedside, in the ambulatory care setting, in the OR, in the community, or in a procedural setting, makes a difference in patient care. Using evidence-based practices (EBPs) helps to facilitate a more successful outcome for our patients. Whether this is your first introduction to EBP or you are currently working on a project, the NNPN is here to provide you with the resources necessary to make changes in your practice.
Two of the many resources that NNPN offers include the live, online Lunch-n-Learn and Journal Club sessions, which are offered to all NNPN members through an easy-to-use web conferencing system. Every month a new EBP topic is chosen to explore and discuss.
The purpose of the NNPN Staff Nurse Workgroup is to provide staff nurses with resources to actively engage in EBP through mentoring resources on the website, networking and collaborative opportunities, and peer feedback.
The Staff Nurse Workgroup is constantly exploring new ideas to improve the resources that are available to you as a staff nurse. If you have ideas or would like to obtain more information about becoming a member of the workgroup, please contact nnpnetwork@umich.edu.
